We congratulate Mahmut Nureddin Solak for winning 2 gold medals representing New Zealand in both the Turkish Reading Contest and Turkish Culture Contest in the 12th International Turkish Language and Culture Olympiads.

The International Turkish Language and Culture Olympiads (Turkish: Uluslararası Türkçe Olimpiyatları) provides a platform for contestants from all over the world to compete in their abilities in Turkish language including several aspects of grammar, oral skills, writing essays, reciting poems, singing, and general culture. Contestants include students learning Turkish as a foreign language and Turkish students living abroad.

Contestants from 150 countries attended the 12th Olympiads held last year. From New Zealand, Mahmut Nureddin Solak attended this contest and proudly won two gold medals.
