When people think of diversity in the workplace, they usually think of the visible differences, i.e. racial or ethnic diversity. But diversity encompasses so much more. It can relate to culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation or identity, disabilities, body type, age, background, and even education.

Celebrating and advancing diversity is good for individuals and business. Research has shown that diversity enhances creativity, innovation, personal growth, emotional intelligence, and ultimately productivity.

As organisations work towards diversity, we will begin to embrace these benefits. So how can we create a diverse and inclusive workforce? What are the barriers? What are the opportunities?
